Our First Day Out

Yesterday was our fist outing. We HAD to have our Turkish Kebob. What is Turkish Kebob? Very hard to explain but once you have had it, you will have to have it again. It is a bit like gyro meat, shaved from a large roast that is slow cooking on a spit. After it is shaved it is served over a pile of fresh french fries and topped with your choice of sauce. You can choose a mild tomato,a strong spicy tomato, or a creamy garlic. I go for the mild but the guys prefer the others mixed. You can actually have it served over rice but that would make it too healthy...blahhh! All this for just 69Kr (about $9).
OK so after we were stuffed with Kebob, we headed to the infamous "Orange Hill Park" AKA Vasaparken. It is all Brenna could talk about for the past year. This park actually has a large part built of hills of orange shredded rubber. On the tops of the hills and in the dips there are trampolines, slides, and a climbing net. It is quite the work out just to reach the top of the slides. With my bum ankle, I watched from the bottom!
After we got in plenty of bouncing, sliding, and climbing we headed home for a quick dip in the wading pool. The wading pool is great on my ankle and the kids think I'm taking them just for them!
On the way back, we got one more surprise...hot air balloons. We got to head out on our balcony and watch them as they passed by. It was a great day. Too bad it didn't wear the kids out enough to sleep all night! Maybe tonight.
