My dad and I decided to head out on our own while Craig was at work and take the kids to Gronalund, the Swedish Disneyland. We got everyone ready and headed out to the bus stop. Now, we never are really sure that we know where we are going so that always adds a little excitment to every trip! This trip was no exception. The first bus was easy enough and then came the famous "I have to pee!" We cringed as we stopped at each red light. Finally we made it and hightailed it off the bus to the nearest McDonalds. Have I told you yet that there are no public restrooms? Not sure where all these Swedes pee but restrooms aren't easy to find and you better have a 5kr coin with you! Into McDonald's we go with our 5kr coin in hand...made it! We stop and eat lunch while we are there...safe and the kids like it. Back onto our journey and second bus. There was no place to sit...no biggy, we can stand. Then the next stop, more people. I put the children on a luggage rack. Next stop, even more people. I have never seen anything like it! We were all smashed in, standing up and they just kept letting people on. Guess there are no capcity rules here! So finally we arrive, stand in line and head in. We had a great time! We were even daring enough to take a ferry home instead of the sardine style bus...and we actually made it! Here are the pictures to fill in the rest of the story.
The very first ride was a merry-go-round. The kids picked the giraffes...they were huge and had ladders to get up on their backs!

They LOVED the teacups! Just look at these adorable faces!

They got to meet the Gronalund Monkey

They rode the car ride all by themselves! I was so nervous Brady would change his mind and climb out! The first car choice was mine and the second was theirs.

Stop for a drink

And the Grand Finale...Brady rode his first rollercoaster with his hands up and loved it! This was the same roller coaster Brenna rode for her first too.

Looks like the kids had a blast... but that is crazy- no potty?!!! But yet you cram a million people into a moving vehicle. It looks gorgeous there. Enjoy your time and keep in touch! Look forward to more updates: )
ReplyDeleteQhy isn't mommy in some of the pictures. In 20 years you will be showing these pictures to your grandchildren and they will look and say "Grammy, why aren't you in the pictures!"
ReplyDeleteKeep having the fun.
